Graduation Ceremony STPM 2009

25th of March 2010, after much excitement and anticipation, finally we attended the graduation ceremony for STPM 2009. Throughout the whole ceremony, its very memorable especially when we were taking lots and lots of photos. Almost before i left the hall and heading back home, suddenly memories about my previous high school in STTSS came back. And i am glad that i didn't make the stupid mistake like i did previously and i am glad that i enjoyed this ceremony with a cheerful mind, and that i had made every moments on that day memorable.

The photos are all with Emmelly, for her dad, who is a very professional free-lancing photographer ( i think so ), came and helped us did the photographing things. Special thanks to Emmelly's dad for he is very good and pro!!!

to P.A. teacher, Pn Marianna:

Thanks for everything, though i always snooze off in the middle of class, well, you are really good in hypnotizing anyway, :P I treasure the moments we spent together, be it in class or in club. Thanks for giving me the chance of becoming the President of P.A. (thx for Pn. Jamilah also), though i admit that i am not the best President of P.A., i really learnt alot in running an organization and most importantly, dos and don'ts in dealing with formal stuffs. really appreciate for all of that if not, i won't even getting an A for my CCA, which sounds far for me, ^^v Sorry for never getting a good result in your P.A exam, but i guess i payback by never failed in your exam. All in all, you are one of the teachers that i thank sincerely, Thank You.

to Mathematics teacher, Ms Voo:

First and foremost, i apologize for always skipping your class, yes i admit that i like to skip Maths and always searching for the chance to skip Maths, :P. Though i always late in hand in homework and always failed your tests and exams, i have to say a big big Thank You to you because now i felt like i am more like an Add-Maths student compared to when i was in my high school; at least i do know all the syllabus and the basic formulae, and of course the basic application. So to conclude, i thank you for being never-lose-hope-and-faith in me, and i think i do pay you back by getting a B- in the exam. Thanks for everything. And teacher, i still disbelief that you are 30++....

to Biology teacher, (i do think that not mentioning your name is a respect to you):

For you, i thank you for that particular scene that i learn: sometimes wasting your time talking to a person that always think that himself/herself is true and correct is the lamest, stupiest and most idiot thing in the world. That's why now when i get so irritated, i chose not to be furious about it; that is really a good lesson from you. Academic wise, i can't fake by saying you teach us, or me, well as we both know, i never pay my attention in your class, perhaps my standard is not up to your standard that i felt "dut" in listening your class. So i have to say, the A- of Biology, serioulsy, is my own effort, those who close to me do know how i study Biology and they do know that i never listen in your class. So, no point saying that you are this and that, just have to say thank you fer being the "teacher" for one of the life-lessons in my life, and that's it for you. From now on, i won't remember the furiousity, i only will remember the lesson. Oh and one thing, i prove you wrong.

to Physics teacher, Pn. Chai:

I felt ashamed when i talk to you, mostly because i felt like a frog that hop to Biology after one semester, perhaps its because of self-esteem problem. Nevertheless, you are really a good teacher, and i admire your motivation and determination, i do hope that i can be like you, teach like a god. ^^v Other than that, sorry for always causing technical problems, i am trying to fix myself about my own carelessness. Still, i respect you, even though we are just student-teacher for that five months, :P Thank you. And please do smile a lot ^^v

to MUET teacher, Sir Adrian:

To me, you are really the best English teacher i ever had. I never participated in English activities as much as i had during your lessons. Thanks for always giving me the chance to prove and to voice out. Though i only get a Band 4 in MUET, i still thank you for everything. Because of you, i listen to Hitz.FM and Mix.FM alot these days and of course being more and more fluent in speaking section. Sir, do you still remember the first day? Ayam? I.M.? haha, i never and won't forget that day. I will treasure every memory with you of that one and a half year, for you are really amusing!

to my classmates, Upper Six Science:

i am very glad to have you all as friends, really. Though i seldom participated in most of the activities you guys organized, and i really felt sorry for that, yet i thank you all for being able to tolerate with me. Maybe at some points that i had pissed anyone of where i don't realize, i apologize for being that inconsiderate. All in all, the memories with you all in this one and a half year is seriously treasure to me. I will treasure every moments, be it sad or happy, and keep in touch, U6S!

to prefect board and Pn. Agatha:

thanks for everything, is all i want to say. I learnt alot, though we always have hardship to face for we always seem to be getting trouble from the school, yet the moments and cooperation that we had seriously amazed me. Thank you for being part of the 1 and a half year in LS!

Pn. Agatha, i thank you for accepting the fact that i cannot always stay and help. Thanks for being tolerate to me, and i know i always amke things rough, still i am proud to be a prefect of yours, Pn Agatha! And i am very happy for you can hear me out during that particularly life-scene. Thanks for giving me the advice to fight through that problem. Really, thank you!

and lastly,

to Mr. Chua, the GTO 09:

a photo taken on STPM result day

You are the man! I have loads and loads, tons and tons of appreciation that i want to say, but pointing each of the points out practically sound stupid. Yet using a short sentence to say it out doesn't seem to be impressive enough. So in the end, i got a WORD, seriously a word, from a card and i know this word can express everything: Thanksawholelot!

Thanks for always having faith in me, for that's what keeps me running until now.
Thanks for being one of the "turning points" in my life, i never know Chemistry is so clicked into me.
Thank you, is really all i want to say because i just couldn't express them good enough.
and there are many many more "thanks" that i have, yet, its just too long.... :)
SO, yes, thanksawholelot! And you will be always the GTO 09!

Thank you, Mr. Chua!

and that ended the life of me in this school, LS. Though i had been hoping this day to come, as early as possible, so that i can leave this school forever. Yet, i found out that, i will always go back to this school, because there are memories and treasures that still wait for me to embrace'em.

Once again, thanks again for everyone who know me, be it we are just hi-bye friends, so called enemies, or some real deal friends! Thank you!

Randomness #1

I came across a quote from my junior in my Form 6 school in facebook just now, he said:

"Don't tell me you love me unless you really meant it, because i might do something crazy like believe it..."
by T.H. Gimfil
Well, just how true is that.
Love really can kill.

The Climb - Miley Cyrus -

A music video dedicated to the article " A Talk Between He and She ", the links are:

" A Talk Between He and She " (part 1)

" A Talk Between He and She " (part 2)

Lyrics:

I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreaming but
There's a voice inside my head sayin,
You'll never reach it,
Every step I'm taking,
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking but I
Got to keep trying
Got to keep my head held high

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what?s waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I,
I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on, cause

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb
Keep the faith
Keep your faith

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notice the chorus:

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes you going to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

A Talk Between He and She (part 2)

continue from "A Talk Between He and She (part 1)"

She agreed by nodding her head, then she fell into silence. That silence spoke the whole thing; they were both tired with their daily lifes, how life had made them into such situation, how life had been no mercy on them, how struggling they were just to get through every day life. She looked on the floor, as in staring at it would make things better. He looked at the sky, he wondered when could he soar freely in the sky.

She broke the silence by asking, " then how can you get through those years? and what bout working while studying in your STPM?"
He said it with a cheerful noice, "well, sometimes when life makes sadness on your life, it also makes happiness in your life. Yea, sure i live a hard life even now, yet i felt the warmth when i saw i could lighthen up my mom's burden, that life is turning better, and i am getting better. About my STPM life, surely its all because of a person that believes in what i could achieve and thanks to this person, i am working with the intelligence that he taught me. Sometimes you can acheive something that sound so impossible before if you have the motivation and motivator in your life. You got to find out your own driving force, the force that drives you thourgh everything."

Later of the conversation, its all about advice on her job and future plan. The time was ticking and he had to go back to his workplace. Time was up. She said, " I am glad that i actually asked you to come out, even though you didn't buy the insurance; at least i found out that i have someone to talk to. Really, thank you. And i wonder how could you be that mature" "yea, welcome, my pleasure. Find me as long as you feel like to. About that, if 5 years of hardship still couldn't make me mature, then my life is considered a failure."

They bid goodbye and promised to meet up in the future. When he turned and left, a thought was in his head, " Life sure is hard, but if you can get through it, you will be a better man." And never he thought before, how much lucky he was to meet one of the turning points in his life at his numeral of 21.

p/s: this article is based on reality of two teenages, he is 21-years-old and has been working ever since 16-years-old. She is 19-years-old and has been working ever since 16-years-old too. The main objective of this article is, to tell the teens nowadays, when you are using your money to eat those luxurious food, buy those luxurious clothing, wondering whether later should have movie or upperstar, and living your life luxuriously without considering the facts that money is hard to find, there are still people out there struggling their daily lifes just to have 3 meals per day.

pp/s: this article is composed by me, any resembler is just coincidence.

A Talk Between He and She (part 1)

That day, he got a call from one of his club members before, she played a big role in the drama he produced. Instantly every memory about she came back; two years of no contact surely made things a bit blurry. He and she shared the same kind of destiny; they came from the same kind of background, same kind of financial background, same kind of life problem, same kind of burden. Only one thing that differentiated them; he was way mature than her and things not as worse as her.

After that short glimpse to the past, he responded her by asking what was going on. Out of expectation, she called to ask him to buy insurance. The first respond he gave was requesting her about her job. She rejected the question by saying that she would make the explanation when they met up. After much talking, he agreed her to meet up two days later; to listen to her persuasion on insurance. At that moment, he felt pretty guilty, which he did know that he did not have the money to invest in insurance. He tried to voice that matter out, but she rejected the fact that he was going to decline her persuation. Therefore, he just saved it for two days later.

Two days later, he finally met up with her. He was expecting a girl that wearing a suit and high-heeled, straight hair power woman; instead, she was still the same old kind, wearing a black T-shirt that the teens wearing, putting on a semi-visible blouse, short jean mini-skirt, a high-heeled shoe that doesn't match the top, tieing a ponytail that completely slashing the so called first image in a business. To make matter worst, she ran down the staircase like a little girl, making out noise. He slowly shaked his head and thinking, "my my, two years of life doesn't seem to make things better."

Expecting the girl to take control of the situation right at the first sight, again out of expectation, he took control of the conversation with only two sentences. He said, " Wait, before you start, i want to tell you that i don't have money." She responded the way he expected, " No, don't say it first. Listen to me first." " No, i really don't have the money, my financial background is virtually zero." After all, he was the president of Drama Club before; speaking with converting of own feeling and tension into the words surely not going to be a problem for him. Even though an actress on stage before, she fell for the words that he said and boom, gameover.

Later, the whole conversation was not about the insurance, its about their life and how they found out that each other is having life that is almost identical to each other; just, he is living a better life, at least for now.

After finished SPM, she said she didn't continue study; instead she went to become an office girl with salary RM650 per month. However, right at the moment she changed from an OG to an insurance promoter, she never felt so powerless and weak. Right from that month, she would not have any basic salary at all, she had to promote insurance to get the commision but until the day he agreed to meet up with her, she could not even find one customer. She told him that almost 50% of the persons she talked to did not call back or do anything that showed any interest in buying insurance. Her boss was pushing her, giving her stress that stating she must get 13 cases at least in that month; yet a week had almost gone and her joblist was still empty.

She felt terribly nervous and empty, powerless, weak and most horrible was fear being overwhelming in her heart; life was pushing, and she was collapsing. Her life was even worse by pressure from her mother and siblings. Her father passed away even before she finished her SPM, her older brother did not work, everyday having fun with friends and drove a honda that paid by her mother. Her mother with onyl salalry RM1200 per month, still want to pay her first son a honda, not to mention about daily expenses of her son and daughthers. Her young sister did not work too, everyday just sitting in the house, expecting people to feed her. She tried to ask her mother to let her learn driving, so that she could work in a better network system; yet her mother refused to, saying that she did not have the money; yet still paying her son's honda and daily expenses.

After all that much, he felt so sorry for her; even though his life was not any way better than her, at least he could afford much of the things in his life. At least he had a mother that was still rational enough in dealing with stuffs between the siblings and life problems. Yet, he could not deny that his life burden was not any lighther than hers.

He finished his high school two years before her and started to work part time everyday; yet things did not get any better after that. After few months of working, the company said that the workforce was enough and hence he was put into the KIV list. Disappointment grew in his heart, but at least he still had a stall at night market. So for that half year, he just helped his mother at the stall, and got into the STPM. He studied in the daytime, and worked at the evening. Everyday repeated until now. He told her that he worked 24 hours per 7 days.

She interrupted him and asked why he have to work 24/7. He told her that debts were on his shoulder, debts by his fahter, debts of the business. He had to pay it, therefore he had to work 24/7.
She asked, " Wouldn't you feel tired?"
He said after shrugging his shoulder, "sure i will, and i just did yesterday. I collapsed just yeasterday."
She raised her voice, "what, as in you went blank?!"
"Not that much, just felt so tired and don't want to do anything at all. Surely we will feel so, after all we are still human. Every human will feel it, especially people like us that live such life.", he answered.
"Why you have to work 24/7? What about your parent?" she asked.
"As i said because of the debts. And yeah my mom is working, but its not enough to pay the debts. And well i am not okay with my father, even where is he now i also don't know, and i don't want to know. Knowing his presence is just putting on tension and stress on my mind. I better don't want to know." He said concretely.
"I bet you do miss him one." She said.
"no, i never do. He has an affair, and that's enough to make things become worse and worse." He denied directly and asked, "You didn't plan to study?"

She continued, " no, i felt so tired and i don't like studying."
He responded, "no you must have to get, at least a diploma. You want to live a better life, don't you? There are plenty of univeristies or collegues that i am sure you can afford by applying PTPTN loan, UNITAR? TARC?"
She said, "no, they said _ _ _ _ _ _ is not good, and i want to get international business or marketing."
He said, " then choose KTAR, i am sure you can get it."
She said, " no i donno, i just donno what to do. What about you?"
He said, " i donno, i am waiting UMS to accept me. If not, i also donno where to go."

She asked, " i asked you, if, i said IF, a person said he or she will afford you to study, will you?"
He shaked his head and said, " no, i won't. Taking other people's money to reach my own goal is surealy a big no in my life. If i ever want to use other people's money, perhaps i have already finished my degree and living in Australia you know? But i didn't."
She asked in confusion, "Why? Why wouldn't you take that offer? Its a very big shortcut."
He smiled and said, " don't you know that in Cantonese we have a pharse ' use other people money as in helping people in their problem without rejcting them ' (受人恩惠,替人消灾)? I am not stupid enough to do that you see."

What is an Ideal Gas?

So just now i was tutoring my A-level students, we were having the chapter States of Matter: Gas.

And so i guess those of you that still remember this chapter will know that we have to define what is an ideal gas, what is non-ideal gas, Charles' Law, Boyle's Law, Avogadro's Law, Ideal Gas Law, Ideal Gas Equation and Deviation from Ideal Gas Law; well of course Maxwell-Boltzman Distribution too but i didn't touch it just now.

So as always we have to start from defining what is an ideal gas.

" What is an Ideal Gas?"

Did anyone of you, my fellow readers, start to mention the following ideas:

an ideal gas: - easily compresible

- intermolecular forces are negligible

- no fixed shape and no volume

- always in constant random motion

- exerts perfectly elastic collision on the wall of container

Did anyone of you start to think of the points above?

Yes??? Then be thrilled with thier answers:

"An ideal gas is a gas that obeys ideal gas law fully."

What?!!! Then i said, yea, but why???

"Because the teacher said so."

>.<, what the???!!! This is going to be very duh if Mr. Chua going to face this!!! And believe me this come from a so called very famous institution's students!

haih~~~ WHat's going on with the education nowadays!!!

P/S: thier teacher even can prove the ideal gas equation, pV=nRT without using n/v ( Avogadro's Law), how can that happen!!! Really GODLY man!

PTPL Offer?

Today, while i was preparing to leave my office, i got a call from my mom who apparently had already reached house and ready-ing for the night job.

The first thing she said is:" Son, you got apply for this dunnp-what college, PTPL meh?"

I was like, @_@, what the??

And when i got home and looked at the offer letter, the program that the college offered me is as below:

1. Certification of Application Development - Programming
2. Certification of Technology System Management Assistance

And well of course there are still some of the degree and diplomas offered to me which most of them focus on computer science and commerce.

The only feeling that i have is, what the?

First thing first, i never apply for anything otehr than IPTA, how can this suddenly come to me?
- It said, you are chosen to enroll in PTPL college under certain rules and regulation.
> Huh??? Totally out-of-the-blue then i am chosen to be the future students? That is so, so, so, weird? I asked my boss about this and he said mostly they get hold of the students result, mostly are average and above average students, then they randomly through computer chose the future students and just send to them; kinda a marketing technique.

Secondly, errr, all computer and business???
- Oh, they got EEC, but not my type, ~~
> Totally not my cup of tea since i am opting for Chemistry, or Biology, or Chemistry + Biology??? Eh,.....

So, that is just so an out-of-the-blue thing and yea, perhaps this is what we called "_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _"
