UMS randomness #2

Alright, one and a half weeks is almost done, need some update here.

Last week pretty much was a free week for me, first thing first, as i said NO PPIB classes, no lecturer of organic chemistry, so everything is unsettled. No class of Physical Chemistry, because Ms. Sharain only did a so called intro to us, so, no class, no book, i just done my honey-week.

Oh, my roommate, Wilson came down to KK and stayed 2 days 1 night at my house, hopefully i created a warm and cozy feeling for him, well, i know that oversea studying is really...erm...make people felt homesick. As i needed to work at stall at night, i didn't pretty much accompany him at Saturday night, but i did my best on Sunday to bring him to the reknown Laksa at Gaya Street and to see what we called Gaya Street Free Market. Am pleased that he enjoyed the laksa and the market (not many teens like a hot and sunny open space market). :P After that, before we head back to hostel, we headed to Tanjung Aru, Sabah first beach, luckily he liked it:)
[1st mission of Sabah Tour Guide completed XD]

2nd week started, 2 days had done, 5 days to go. Later will have my first Etika Golongan Profesional at 11am and my first English for Research at 7pm. Wonder what will happen eh?

1st day of this week, i had my Basic Physics, which as expected, no class again. ~.~ Well, we waited from 8am to 9am and there was no lecturer, many were leaving already. As Class Rep of K.I., i have to make sure that nothing goes wrong with the attendance of K.I. students, so even though its a joint class of BioTech, BioPerm and SainsSekitaran, i decided to stand up and volunteer to look for the lecturer for ALL of them. =.=! Wonder where i got my guts from, pretty sure from my friend, Daryl, who happens to be a very dedicated guy. Much more to learn from him! Well of course Daryl accompanied me to find the lecturer, oh ya, he likes to help people. Nice moral eh~ Even i admit lose. T.T

So we walked around the SST, from up to down, just to find the lecturer(s), in the end to no avail we have to return with empty handed. So, we told them no lecturer and they all left. ~.~ Oh ya, met Felicia here, she waited until the end of class becuase she got nothing to do.

So, a bit of hungry at that time, Daryl, Kent(a guy from K.I. too) and I went to canteen and i grabbed a burger and a soya, cost me RM4.80! Actually wanna have waffle but its not ready yet...the TEPUNG is not ready yet!

After the snack, Daryl and I went for our TITAS class, i was at DKP6, he was at DKP5 though. Well, we used up the waiting time on chatting bout food and places of Sabah and Malacca. I found out when you don't really know of any nice places to go for vacation right, best thing is you share food. Because when you share food, you tend to share the culture and history and background behind! :P

Malacca, felt like going to visit this place sooner or later. After hearing Daryl comments, hmm, definitely confirm with the fact that Malacca is always my first destination if i were doing a West Malaysia vacation! Joaane, be my tour guide! Daryl, including you too! :p

Then TITAS class, not too bad, history of civilization, always been something that i wanted to learn. Nice, a free class for me:P finally can learn something literature after so much science theories! Felt a danger here because...somehow...the lecturer was just focusing on...me?? Class Rep Warning Zone!!!

-to be continued- will just edit on this post.

UMS randomness - Stress to Free -

Its always the darkest before the dawn.

Guess that is always a true fact.

Last night i didn't pretty much sleep well, even in the dream i also dreamt something related to my courses and timetable, man!!! It seriously sucks actually, a timetable with no credit hours at all! How am i going to survive!! I don't want to be extended due to these kind of technical problems!!!

Oh ya, before mentioned bout what happened on my timetable, let's talk about the first day, the first class on 12th July 2010. Its Physical Chemistry Basic 1. Hmm, other than wasted half and hour just to find the lecture room, which is like N-km from the parking lot and i burnt alot of calories thanks to that, the class turned out... surprising. I am appointed as the Class Leader of Year 1 Industrial Chemistry, which is a total surprise for me. Now, how do i get appointed? All thanks to my 38 mouth that asked Ms. Sharain, apparently the lecturer of Phy Chem, during Q&A section with staffs of Industrial Chemistry and when she asked for any volunteer of the class leader, noone of course did so.

So, actually i do know that she will appoint me, because through out the whole section, she is directing her attention on me, and my heart is like:" Okay, no escape le this time." =.=! Well after all, this is like a respond to my wish, because i had always wished that i will have a kind Class Leader in my univeristy life so that he/she will provide me with first hand information on time reschedule or whatever, which is a MUST for my tight shcedule. Now, like an answer to prayer, i myself is the Class Leader, and of course i got all the first hand information all the time, wondering this is good or what? Speak of it, they named the Class Leader as Class Strap, how they spell it actually? Strap? Kinda weird

Anyhow, the class ended within one hour, and i together with my two new friends, Kevin and Daryl, both Chinese though, we went to the library to register for the Library FAQs Induction thing. I didn't bring along my Orientation Week Temporary Student Card, so i had to drive back to my hostel to get it. Oh by the way, i got my hostel at KingFisher! Which is seriously the best of all the hostel! Family-based hostel, double story terrace. I got my room at the Master Room, together with one Johor's Chinese, Wilson and one Sabahan Faizal. We got our own toilet in that room too^^v Other than that, there are still three others which are 1 Sabahan and 2 Sarawakians.

So i got my Temp Card and rushed back to Library, glad that Daryl still waiting for me, met up with Farica, Jason and Jaqueline, all registering^^ After that, went to PIBB, the language center, to ask whether we have PIBB classes this whole week, it turned out that we seriously don't have any PIBB classes at all for this whole week, and Jason was like:" tulah, don't trust me, i said liao." =.=!! Sorry loh Jason~

After that Jason, Daryl and me went back to library for lunch, because PIBB doesn't have any cafeteria, =.=! Jason and I had Penang Laksa at RM3.50 and Daryl has a chicken rice at RM4++, the laksa tasted great, though no meat at all, only a half-sliced boiled egg and alot of vegies included onion, cucumber and chili. Yes, CHILI!!! Its super duper hot one! Luckily i pick coconut as my beverage~ And all cost me RM5, hmm, the cafeteria still got alot to taste on, will try out each and everyone of them!

After that Daryl went to 1-Megalab and Jason and I went to UMTP to register the wifi. After that, home sweet home~

At night, that was the time i found out my timetable is reverted to zero credits hour. So i didn't sleep well, and the exercise on the next day didn't do with whole-heartedly, even though my body is giving alarm that i didn't concentrate and focus but my mind just kept on wondering far far away. Felt so guilty to my body, the exercise later should be done with real focus and concentration!

Went to university and met up with Lewis, another coursemate of mine, and we had a breakfast talk over the table, and i enjoyed it :) ah, i met Rendarll here. You guys remember Ralph? His bro is here too, Rendarll. Somehow, i just felt life is indeed unpredictable, one two years before, Rendarll first appeared in my life as my senior prefect, one year later he hecame my junior as i am the senior(Form6 to Form5). Another year later, at 2010, we became colleagues, same Year and expected to graduate together. How unpredictable it is eh? Rendarll is officially my junior, my senior and my colleague. ~.~!

And then, went to class, waited for 45mins, someone suggested that Dr. How is on leave, so as CL i went to check out, luckily met up with Ms. Sharain and she confirmed the Dr. How is not here, so i went back and announced to all of them, and we are all free for this whole long week =.=! Then i busy collected the money for the photocopy of notes, luckily Daryl helped out :)

Went to PIBB again, to ask about the academic registration, luckily the Timbalan Dekan said its not my fault so i can just go to the time that i registered for each course and just remember to re-registered back after the system is up again.

At evening, i check on SMP again, to my delight, my academic registration is back to the original one :) So, now i just have to try to switch two subjects that i do't want and change it with subjects that i like... hmmm...but hor, SMP is DOWN AGAIN!!! I hate it la~~

p/s: going to hostel to clean up the house~

University Malaysia Sabah - Better Than I Imagined -

University Malaysia Sabah, or UMS, has always left a kind of image where it is very beautiful at the outside, but totally speechless inside. After one whole week of orientation, is it true with the statement i just stated?

IN the end, i came up with a solution i.e. UMS actually is equally strong from the outside and the inside. And that is enough to make me appreciated to where i am studying in the next few years.
Orientation Week of UMS, although not as crazy as Chin's which is 15 talks overall, still we have about 6-7 talks roughly and each took almost 2 hours, especially talk of PKPP(Co-curricular activity center) which took the whole afternoon from 12noon to 5pm!!!

As for all the programs we played, not that much worth mentioned, just not too harsh and too excessive heavy, thanks god already!

Only one thing to mention, why all the VIPs always like to be late??? Hate it very much though. If any of you became a VIP in the future, please remember to be punctual, not that much of time wasted on VIP is always a good idea.

Now finally enter the start of Semester one, everyone is in confusion as the system of academic registrtion UMS are all broken, wonder why. My registration all reverted to empty!!! And i am trying to solve it now, my perfect timetable is gone!!! Stress!!!
